How to level up fast in Fortnite: Battle Royale

That battle pass isn't going to max out itself.

Fortnite is one of the most popular live-service games out there right now, drawing in millions of players every year. Many players who are fans of the game will purchase the battle pass, which requires some grinding to fully complete. Players will likely need to earn a lot of experience quickly, especially if the end of the season is getting nearer.

Luckily, Epic Games provides players with a wide variety of different ways to battle pass XP. Whether it be quests, limited-time events, or playing different game modes, players can easily get to level 200 on the battle pass as long as theyre consistent about gaining battle pass experience. Its easy to fall behind, leaving you to play catch-up near the seasons end.

Earning levels can be easy once you know what youre doing and when to take advantage of bonuses. Heres all the information you need to know about how to level up fast in Fortnite.

How to level up fast in Fortnite

There are a lot of different ways for players to earn battle pass experience, with some providing considerably more experience than others.

Earn XP just from playing matches

As you play throughout regular battle royale matches, youll notice that youre earning XP just from doing regular activities in each match. Things like opening chests, getting eliminations, and interacting with Reality Saplings can provide you with a lot of experience per match. While you likely wont get a level per match, its a great way to passively generate levels.

In a regular match, you can earn basic experience for the following actions, among others:

  • Surviving Storm Circles
  • Getting eliminations
  • Outlasting opponents
  • Opening chests and ammo boxes
  • Foraging
  • Hunting wildlife

During Supercharged experience sessions, players will earn twice as much XP than they would have otherwise. These serve as great opportunities to grind for the additional experience that you would have only gotten half of.

Complete all challenges and quests

Epic recognizes that the battle royale can get a little stale if thats all the player is doing for days on end. To alleviate this, the developer is constantly releasing new challenges and quests that provide the player with battle pass experience or other rewards. Whether they be daily, weekly, or part of the seasons story quests. They all provide the player with battle pass XP.

Fortnite releases weekly quests every Thursday at 8am CT, and weekly quests on Tuesdays at the same time. While weekly quests occur every week, sometime Epic will wait a week or two between season narrative quests so as to not give away the whole story before the season ends. Because of this, the daily and weekly quests will be your best bet.

Buy the seasons Level Up pack

Each season of the game, Fortnite will introduce a new way for players to easily earn levels on top of a new dynamic skin. Players will earn these levels by picking up special tokens around the map, each providing them with a new level. The way these packs work is that they typically unlock over time, preventing players from getting the tokens all at once.

Each Level Up pack usually comes with a skin that will progress as you find more tokens, providing players with additional alt styles for that skin.

Spend real money on levels

If youve got some cash to spare, then you can always take the easier route of purchasing additional battle pass levels. Each level cost 150 V-Bucks, with players needing somewhere around 30,000 V-Bucks to unlock all 200 battle pass levels. Fortnite sells its in-game currency in different bundles, including:

  • 1,000 V-Bucks: $7.99
  • 2,800 V-Bucks: $19.99
  • 5,000 V-Bucks: $31.99
  • 13,500 V-Bucks: $79.99

To get the full 30,0000 V-Bucks, players would need two of the $80 bundles and two of the $20 bundles, equaling around $200 for the entire battle pass. But many players wont need to pay for the complete battle pass, and they can just get whichever pack helps them reach their desired level.

Play different game modes

While you might be a fan of the original battle royale modes, Fortnite has evolved into a platform that evolves a wide variety of different modes. Players can grind for experience in Creative maps or in Save the World. Either way, the player will be able to earn experience quickly without having to fight other players on the island.

Occasionally, Epic will host a new musical artist inside of Creative as part of the Soundwave Series. This series gives players a lot of experience just by playing through the entire level and listening to the songs. Save the World offers players the opportunity to fight off hordes of monsters, allowing them to earn multiple levels fairly quickly.
